Named after the famous painting 'The Birth of Venus' which identifies Venus as the most signficant part of the piece; as she's standing ontop of a cockleshell which would usually be holding a precious sea pearl. Whilst a shell is respresentative of birth and fertility, so is the Greek goddess Venus; assosiated with true love and beauty, like her counterpart Aphrodite. Venus also has links to Libra, being it's ruling planet.
